Any obstruction in the body can pinch the nerve root including a herniated disc, degenerated (flat) disc, thickening of a bone or ligament, cysts, and tumors. Core Exercise: Core exercises focus on the muscles located along the spinal column that support your posture. A variety of exercises are used to train these core muscles for strength. As strength increases, support is provided to the underlying damaged structures which pinch the nerve, permitting healing.

Flexibility: Flexibility will stimulate healing by relieving tightness around the nerve caused by injured or fatigued muscles and joints. Helping with ease of movement will relieve pain and protect the area from further stress and damage.
